The best way to describe who we are as a brand is to explain how our resort found its down-to-earth personality. Ambong–Ambong is named after a plant that holds all the qualities to which we aspire. Its roots give strength and structure, preventing erosion and providing a safe setting within which vibrant life can thrive. The Ambong flower is medicinal, ensuring the wellbeing of all who encounter it. As the roots grow deeper, the leaves extend further – like the growing Ambong–Ambong family. In these concepts, we find not only our brand’s personality, but also its purpose.

Our Ambong Rainforest Retreat consist of a collection of 11 suites, studios, and cottages while our Ambong Pool Villas, the first all-villa resort in Langkawi has 9 villas, each with its own private pool and a picturesque view of the Andaman Sea. Both resorts share common access to two restaurants, a rooftop bar and a holistic spa facility with a yoga and meditation pavilion and an outdoor pool. Nature Experiences at Ambong – Ambong

At Ambong-Ambong, natural wildlife plays an integral part of our surroundings, adding to the charm of our holiday destination.

Guests never fail to see and be amused by our two species of resident primates, namely the Macaques and the Dusky Leaf monkeys. Ambong–Ambong is home to 30 species of birds around the resort, but guests will mostly notice the Oriental Pied and the Great hornbills. The majestic birds of prey, the eagles, namely White-bellied Sea Eagles and Brahminy Kite that patrol the sky above to swoop and extract fish from the sea are another source of fascination. Other members of the family are tree lizards, Tokay geckos and the common but difficult to see flying lizards from tree to tree in search of food. Colugos or flying lemurs, slow lorises, mouse deer, civet cats and porcupines from many different species also live in our rainforest but being nocturnal, are difficult to see except by the very diligent.
