Explore the islands of Langkawi on a luxury yacht, or a private speedboat

Ambong blog

While visiting Langkawi, and staying at Ambong-Ambong, you will be amazed by the beautiful vistas of the archipelago. If you feel that you would like to explore this beautiful Unesco Global Geopark, then we can offer to charter a luxury yacht trip – or you can go on your own by hiring a private speedboat for the day.

Choosing a yacht tour is a great way to explore the archipelago and visit the best crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches of Langkawi. Luxury yacht prices start from RM 3.5k for a 2-hour private cruise, including canapes, soft drinks, and a bottle of champagne.

Both yachts and speedboats are easily accessible in the harbor of Teluk Baru, just a short 3-minute drive from Ambong Ambong. Yachts are in the Resorts World Marina, while speedboats will await you at the tourist jetty.

The main islands you should visit are:

Pulau Dayang Bunting

is the second largest island in Langawi’s cluster of 99 islands. It’s located south of the main island, and can easily be reached by boat. The island is home to a large wonderful freshwater lake, hence the name of the island translates to “The Island of the Pregnant Maiden”.

Pulau Singa

This small island has spectacular geological features. At present, the government has turned it into a permanent reserve for birds and wild animals, an open virgin forest park covering an area of about 640 hectares. Here, you will find monkeys, wild deer, peacocks, and giant lizards, free to roam around the island and enjoy their time at ease.

Pulau Beras Basah

One of Langkawi’s southern islands, Pulau Beras Basah is known for its white-sand beaches and blue waters: Travelers rarely venture into its dense, forested interior.

Pulau Kentut

The island is perfect for some beach time and sunbathing. The island offers pristine white-sand beaches and fascinating tropical surroundings.

Pulau Tepur

A beautiful horse-shoe-shaped island with a beach in between its arms. The island is uninhabited and undeveloped, a must-do experience to visit.

As you would expect, during your cruise, you will have a variety of fun activities, like fun fishing, bird watching, visiting secluded beaches, and sightseeing off the beaten track.

Going out on a boat trip in the evening will allow you to watch the sunset from the second-best spot in Langkawi, from the sea. The best location to enjoy the sunset is Rimba Sky Bar at Ambong Ambong.

You are welcome to ask for tips and guidance from our reservations team. We will be pleased to assist you in arranging an unforgettable yacht or boat trip to explore the beautiful archipelago of Langkawi.
